Local storage
SQLite persists accounts, companies, knowledge, Pods, approvals and results by default. Files are saved with their database records; extracted text and model-tagged embedding vectors are stored for company-scoped retrieval. Session and OTP records are managed separately from the export/import flow.
PostgreSQL
The app includes a PostgreSQL adapter selected with DATABASE_URL. Against one hosted CockroachDB cluster, its TLS connection, automatic schema creation, and a transactional insert/read/upsert check passed. This does not verify the full application on every PostgreSQL-compatible service. A URL beginning with file: selects SQLite; use the unprefixed postgresql:// URL for CockroachDB. An existing SQLite database is not migrated by changing the URL.
Transfer and backups
Stop both the web server and worker before exporting and importing. The export refuses to overwrite a backup; import requires an empty destination and uses a transaction. Backup files contain private documents and password hashes: secure them and never commit them.
Deletion
Company deletion requires typing its exact name and cascades to its documents, Pods and results. A deleted result or document cannot be downloaded through its old owner route.
